Good To Go Baby Gifts

Most of our friends who are having babies or have young children have dogs.  Most of them live in town so they have the dogs in their homes.  The babies and children in the home just adore the dogs and have a relationship with the dog that always amazes me.  The dogs play with the children, protect the children, and provide unconditional love. 

Because of this, I set out to find a dog baby bath robe for a friend of ours.  The Cozy Wrap, that is a dog, is blue and was just what they wanted.  Of course, the Cozy Wrap also comes in a pink bear and an off-white lamb. 

While out on my walk yesterday I stopped at a neighboring park to watch children play “ball.”  Some had whiffle balls, some had tennis balls, some had baseballs, and some had softballs.  They had all kinds of gloves and bats.  The organized “little league” is finished so the children were just playing “for fun” and not “keeping score.” 

They wanted to get these last games in before going back to school.  The running and laughter was unbelievable.  There were no rules and they were just having fun.  The children looked like they were having the fun that my own children had or that I had.  It seems that we structure children so much in their play situations that they don’t have a chance to use their imagination.  They were using their imagination yesterday!!

I got a call from a customer asking for personalized baby bracelets made of pearls.  I went out there and found it for her, so it is the new product today!

One day when I was watching TV, I saw adults making a baby laugh and then the piece ended with them saying that laughter adds 8 years to your life.  Being in education I constantly see children who laugh easily and those who laugh very little, if any.

We have been very fortunate here to not have the floods or the drought like some places in the United States.  As a matter of fact, we were starting to get dry and then we received the welcome rain.

When our daughter was little, she loved walking out in the rain.  One of the unique baby gifts that we bought her was a clear umbrella that was just her size and we used our large ones.  We were very careful to choose a day where there was NO LIGHTNING. 

We would go out in the soft rain.  She would look up through her umbrella at the sky and talk about the rain.  She would also splash in the puddles with her red boots.  (I had boots too, otherwise I would have been soaked.)  We then read our books about rain and she took a nap.  I’m sure those dreams were about the beautiful rain.

We have our county fair taking place this week.  What a wonderful week for babies and children.  Everywhere I went I saw parents, grandparents, friends, and relatives with little children.  I did a “people watch” on the faces of the little ones. 

Some had surprised looks, some had amazed looks. and some may have even had scared looks.  Mostly the little faces had smiles as they were taking in many many new experiences. 

The experience that had the most children was the petting zoo.  Animals seem to intrigue children and the farm animals in the petting zoo were no exception.  Remember to include animals when you are giving unique baby gifts and TAKE THE LITTLE ONES OUT TO THE FAIR!!
